By creating an account and using CareerMate, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Description of Service

CareerMate is a web application that helps you track and manage job applications. Features include organizing applications by status, storing notes and documents, viewing company information and employee reviews from third-party sources, and AI-powered analysis of job postings and resumes.

This is an independent tool — we have no affiliation with any employer, recruiter, job board, or review platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use this service. By signing in, you confirm you meet this requirement.

4. Your Account

You sign in exclusively via Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Your Data

You own your data. The content you create — job applications, notes, documents — belongs to you. We store it solely to provide the service.

You can export or delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

7. Third-Party Data & Content

Company information and employee reviews displayed in the app are sourced from third-party providers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data. You should not rely solely on this information when making career decisions.

We are not responsible for the content of third-party sources, and displaying this data does not imply endorsement of any company or employer.

8. AI Features

The app uses AI to analyze job postings and resumes. These analyses are provided for informational purposes only. AI-generated insights may be incomplete or inaccurate — use your own judgment when interpreting results.

9. Service Availability

This is an MVP product under active development. We provide the service on a best-effort basis and do not guarantee uptime, availability, or that any particular feature will remain available. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice where possible.

10. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, and its code are owned by CareerMate. These terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond using the service as intended.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareerMate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data or career opportunities.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or €20 if you are a free user).

13. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Poland.

EU users retain any rights afforded to them under applicable EU consumer protection law, which these terms do not override.
